CBIA hosted the fourth annual badminton tournament in August 2024. We had 14 men's doubles teams, 3 women's doubles teams and 6 mixed doubles teams. We also had a kids category with 4 teams. The tournament was a grand success, thanks to all participants. Kudos to the organizing committee for doing a phenomenal job hosting the tournament. Many congratulations to all the winners!
CCSC in collaboration with Valero hosted the second Corpus Christi Badminton Open on Saturday, 28th October 2023. It was enthralling to see overwhelming participation from badminton clubs from Kingsville, Corpus Christi, Houston, San Antonio and Austin. The tournament was held at Texas A&M University – Dugan Wellness Center. The university offered state of the art court facilities and scrumptious food at their dinning hall. Thanks to the tournament committee for organizing an exceptional tournament. Vice President and General Manager of Valero Corpus Christi Kyle Sharon and Public Affairs Manager Darcy Schroeder graced the occasion with their presence and addressed the players and volunteers during lunch break. The proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Coastal Bend India Association to support Summer College Scholarships for 2024. The club would like to thank all participants and look forward to the next year’s tournament.
After a successful summer camp, the club conducted the first ever Kids Doubles Badminton Tournament on 29th Sep 2023. Coach Van graced the occasion and encouraged all the 10 participants (5 teams) from the sideline. Thanks to Coach Van, all the kids showcased their skills in court coverage and by hitting crisp clear shots and smashes. Kudos to their parent for encouraging them!

CCSC hosted Lottery Partner Tournament on August 27th, 2022 for club members.
The Lottery Partner tournament was announced on July 7th, 2022. Based on the registration count, it was decided by the club to host men’s doubles and mixed doubles tournaments. Club is grateful for the overwhelming participation from the members. The team draws were held on August 14th, 2022 and the tournament was held on August 27th at Sokol Gym. CCSC thanks all the participants and volunteers for making this tournament a grand success.
